Final Fantasy is a video game with a massive list of characters. While some are more popular than others there is literally something for everyone. I’ve been collecting costumes, cosplayers, and artists for months now and have a huge list of talent in my drafts for you all. Where do I start? With 10 of my favorite rare finds. I haven’t managed to find their equals, and in some cases I haven’t managed to find another at all! Enjoy!
Kuja from Final Fantasy IX by NanjoKoji. For a Genome bent on provoking war this is stunning! The wig work and costume details alone… wow.
Fran by Littleblondegoth. This is and will always be one of my all time favorite cosplay photographs. Cosplay is fantasy brought to life and this photo is everything I love about that. Littleblondegoth is flawless. I can’t stop looking at the costume construction, the rabbit ears, and the overall photo. It’s gorgeous!
Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII by Ex-Shadow. Zach may have started out as a nonplayable character but look at that Buster Sword now! This is fabulous, even for Ex-Shadow and he is know for his big and outlandish builds.
Vanille by Saaraz Cosplay. The bead work alone took a lot of time for this costume and I strongly suggest a side by side comparison. Even the boots are perfect!
Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV by Shoko and Jérôme Cosplay. There are no words for this Dark Knight. None. He gives me chills and I doubt I’ll ever find his equal!
Ashe by Elisa Cosplay. When people try to tell me that cosplay isn’t an art form I direct them to photos like this. Elisa is a master at her craft and this costume is incredibly detailed. She’s stunning as the princess who lost everything!
Caius Ballad from Final Fantasy XIII by Leon Chiro Cosplay Art. I was already blown away by the craftsmanship of his armor and sword and then I made the mistake of looking through his album. It lights up!!! Mind. Blown by the photos I found there!
Oerba Yun Fang from Final Fantasy XIII by Callesto. I love having her in the same feature as Vanille! This is arguably one of the most beautiful costume designs for a playable female character and I loved her colors. There’s no softness for Fang, just bold blue and beautiful weaponry!
Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. There are never enough villains and I’m thrilled to add this one to my archives. Evil character choices are so much fun!
Auron from Final Fantasy X by Philippe Lauby. It’s amazing seeing Tidus’s caretaker brought to life and even the pose makes me smile. That tucked arm is fantastic!
