Which costumes did Japanese cosplayers order the most? Cospa ranks their Top 10 costumes of 2014

2014 was a great year for cosplay in Japan, and Japanese costume makers and anime merchandise distributors Cospa, has now unveiled their annual costume rankings, which yielded a result a little bit more different from last year’s rankings.

These rankings are based on the sales Cospa has made on their officially licensed costumes, and only feature the costumes usually worn by either anime or video game characters. Here are their Top 10 for 2014:

2013 was the year of Attack on Titan as the Survey Corps Jacket took first place, however, 2014 went to Love Live! which proved to be more popular to cosplayers this year.

Kantai Collection meanwhile is still as popular as ever as the popular net browser game has three entries in Cospa’s top 10, with the highest being at #2, which is the costume usually worn by the Kongou-class battleships, aka the Kongou Sisters. With the anime adaptation already airing, be sure that more of these ship girls will be making it to these rankings.
